Job summary

Leading Edge Before and After School in Washington, DC is hiring Assistant Group Leaders to support after-school programs at multiple school sites. This is a part-time role with schedules from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at various campuses.

You will assist the Center Director and Group Leaders in delivering age-appropriate activities, help maintain a safe and structured environment, supervise students, support transitions and enrichment activities, and foster strong relationships

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a professional setting.
• Friendly, dependable, and ready to support wherever needed.
• A team player with great communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director & Group Leaders in delivering fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Supervise students and engage with them positively.
• Support transitions, snack time, and enrichment activities.
• Foster strong relationships with students, families, and staff.

Schedule Ranges:

Monday – Friday | 3:00 pm– 6:30 pm, program/school dependent

Part-Time | $20.00–$22.00 per hour, paid biweekly on Fridays
