Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Fabrication Engineering Group seeks an Assistant Group Leader to guide a large, diverse team responsible for fabrication and AI&Ts for advanced prototype hardware for national security applications.

The AGL will drive modernized, agile operations, optimize resource allocation, and foster a culture of technical excellence. It may serve as PM/DPM, influencing group strategy, workforce development, and digital fabrication practices including AI.

Qualifications

Technical degree in engineering or related field; MS or PhD preferred.
7+ years of relevant technical experience desired.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex prototype systems.
Experience aligning strategic planning with execution and delivery of priorities.
Knowledge of AI, automation, and data-driven operations.

Responsibilities

Define and execute strategic priorities aligned with national security needs.
Lead fabrication engineering and AI&Ts across a portfolio of prototypes.
Develop and optimize agile, flexible operations for fast-turn prototype development.
Foster growth by developing future technical leaders and cross-group interfaces.
Provide programmatic leadership as PM/DPM for complex prototyping programs.
