• Maintain athletic and intramural fields including mowing, edging, fertilizing, etc.
• Prepare athletic and intramural fields for competition.
• Operate light and heavy equipment such as backpack blowers, sprayers, etc..
• Maintain and safely store all equipment and tools.
• Assist with other campus grounds projects as needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a current, valid driver’s license in the State of Alabama.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the trade.
• Lifting and carrying a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
• Performing tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances.
• Working within extreme temperature ranges.
• Ability to exercise tact and discretion with customers and the public, including reasonable standards of personal appearance.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

• Experience in turf management and general knowledge of rules and regulations specific to college level athletics is preferred
