Job summary

Chisago Lakes Golf Course in Lindstrom, MN seeks an Assistant Golf Professional to support daily operations, run tournaments, and help develop players. This role offers growth under a supportive management team in a thriving golf community.

You will work with the team on golf shop operations, merchandising, and guest services while pursuing PGA progression and enhancing client experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf operations at a public, resort, or private golf facility (1-2 years preferred).
• Actively enrolled or planning to enroll in the PGA Professional Management (PGM) program is highly preferred but not strictly required.
• Proficient with POS systems, electronic tee sheets, and tournament software.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Golf Operations: Assist in managing daily golf shop operations, including starting fields, tee sheet management, processing fees, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Tournament Management: Help plan, organize, and execute corporate outings, club tournaments, and league events using Golf Genius software.
• Player Development: Support junior camps, adult clinics, and individual instruction to grow the game within the community.
• Merchandising: Assist with receiving, displaying, inventorying, and selling golf shop apparel and equipment.
• Outside Staff Management: Assist in supervising and training outside service staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Chisago Lakes Golf Course is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and customer-centric Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. Experience Required

• Prior experience working in golf operations at a public, resort, or private golf facility (1-2 years preferred).
• Actively enrolled or planning to enroll in the PGA Professional Management (PGM) program is highly preferred but not strictly required.
• Proficient with modern golf technologies, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, electronic tee sheets (e.g., Lightspeed, GolfNow), and tournament software (Golf Genius).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Essential Responsibilities

• Golf Operations: Assist in managing daily golf shop operations, including starting fields, managing the tee sheet, processing fees, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Tournament Management: Help plan, organize, and execute corporate outings, club tournaments, and league events using Golf Genius software.
• Player Development: Support and lead junior golf camps, adult clinics, and individual instruction to grow the game within the community.
