River Downs Golf Club in Maryland seeks an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support daily course setup, mowing operations, and quality control to maintain tournament-level conditions for our members and events.

The role includes applying fertilizers and pesticides per safety standards, operating and repairing irrigation systems, scouting turf health, and supervising seasonal and full-time staff to ensure high standards and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of golf course maintenance experience required.
• Turfgrass Management degree or certificate preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Must obtain a Maryland Pesticide Applicator License within 90 days of hire.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality course presentation.
• Experience with Toro or similar irrigation systems a plus.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
