Job summary

Newton Country Club in Newton, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our high-performing team beginning February 2026. This role offers growth under the current Superintendent and a leadership position in their absence.

Newton Country Club is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our high-performing, tight-knit team beginning February 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated turf professional to grow under the guidance of our current Superintendent and take a leadership role in their absence.

Our club is preparing for a capital improvement project during spring mobilization, including bunker and tee box renovations, and the Assistant Superintendent will play a key role in coordinating with contractors and ensuring work is completed to our high standards.

• Assist in daily planning and execution of all golf course maintenance activities
• Supervise and lead staff in the Superintendent’s absence
• Monitor and adjust irrigation systems as needed
• Apply and document fertilizer and pesticide programs in accordance with regulatory standards
