Qualifications

• Must have played, competed in, or coached lacrosse at the high school or college level.
• Must pass Northfield and MSHSL professional development requirements and a background check.
• Head coach license or appropriate certification required for head coaches.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with selection, instruction, training, and conditioning of all athletes/teams assigned to him/her by the head coach.
• Demonstrate sportsmanship and fair play per Coaches' Code of Ethics.
• Know and apply policies in the Coaches' Handbook, conference rules, and supervise assistant coaches.
• Provide for the health, safety, and well-being of team members.
• Promote a culture free from hazing and initiations.
• Adhere to the starting and ending dates for the sport.
• Be aware of all MSHSL rules applicable to your sport.
