Job summary

Fort Wayne Community Schools is seeking a part-time athletic coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The role includes instructing and supervising all athletic practices and games, while coordinating with head coaches and assistants.

Preference given to those teaching at Northrop High School, with duties aligned to FWCS hours. Candidates must comply with IHSAA MSAC rules and FWCS policies, maintain a valid driver’s license, and obtain SPB/Minibus certification prior to the season.

Qualifications

• Prefer candidate who will be teaching at Norhrop High School for the 2026-2027 school year.
• If applicant is a current FWCS teacher the teacher must fulfill their daily contracted hours before coaching.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must be willing to work effectively with students from multicultural backgrounds.
• Candidate must obtain SPB/Minibus certification before season.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise all athletic practices and games.
• Utilize, organize, and work with other head coaches and assistants.
• Comply with IHSAA MSAC rules/regulations and FWCS policies, including the code of ethics.
• Support relationships with students, parents, teachers and administrators.
