Qualifications

• Coaching experience and/or played basketball at a competitive level.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes and foster skill development.
• Adherence to sportsmanship and ethical conduct standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with player development during practices and games.
• Assist in organizing team activities and encouraging student participation.
• Assess player skills and help assign positions.
• Plan and coordinate practice schedules for individual and team development.
• Collaborate with head coach and athletic director to schedule facilities for practices and games.
• Coach drills and teach basketball fundamentals and rules.
• Monitor player performance and determine development needs.
• Model appropriate behavior toward athletes, officials, opponents, and spectators.
• Support academic monitoring to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
• Follow procedures for injuries and safety.
