Cache County School District is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the basketball program. You will help design practice plans, supervise players, and promote teamwork and safe participation.

The role requires evenings, weekends, and travel during the season, with on-site work in athletic facilities and venues. Prior coaching experience and NFHS certification help qualify you for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or athletic program supervision.
• High school diploma plus job-related coursework.
• NFHS Certification.

Responsabilités

• Assist the head coach in developing strategies and practice plans.
• Evaluate opposing teams’ strategies and performance for game plans.
• Assess athletes’ skills to determine team placement and provide feedback.
• Instruct athletes in sport techniques, rules, and fundamentals.
• Supervise athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and meetings.
• Monitor academic eligibility and provide support or referrals.
• Maintain records including participation, statistics, schedules, equipment inventories, and documentation.
• Promote the athletic program through community engagement and camps.
• Respond to inquiries from students, parents, staff, and community members.
• Attend meetings, training, and conferences related to coaching responsibilities.
• Support the head coach and staff in coordinating team activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
