Price Chopper is seeking a diligent team member to support the General Merchandise (GM) and HBC department. You will stock and price products, assist with department budgeting and operations, and keep aisles neat and shelves leveled.

You may operate the register to bag customer orders as needed. The role emphasizes fast, friendly, and efficient service, with duties including scheduling, ordering, policy adherence, and merchandising to promote sales.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is expected.
• 6-12 months of related experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Assist GM / HBC Manager with day-to-day operations, including scheduling and ordering.
• Oversee departmental operations in the manager's absence and adhere to CGO policies.
• Merchandise, stock, price and display GM/HBC products; manage inventory controls.
• May retrieve carts, bag customer orders, and operate the front-end register as needed.
• Ensure accurate receiving of warehouse and vendor deliveries (DSD).
• Control shrink and perform other duties per management instruction.

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper Customers. Responsible for assisting with the operation of the general merchandise department. Assists the GM and HBC (or Grocery) Manager with the budgeting and financial aspects of the department as needed. Responsible for stocking and pricing general merchandise products to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Ensures that GM aisles and shelves are neat, clean and leveled. May be required to operate register and bag customer orders as business necessitates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
Assist GM / HBC (or Grocery) Manager with the day to day operation of the general merchandise department. (includes scheduling, ordering and other administrative duties) Oversees the departmental operation in manager's absence.
Assist GM / HBC Manager in adherence to CGO policies.
Responsible for performing merchandising functions within the GM / HBC department, to include implementation of sales plans, stocking product, pricing and signing and display merchandise and inventory controls.
May be responsible for retrieving shopping carts, bagging customer orders and/or running front end register as business needs necessitate.
Responsible for accurate receiving warehouse and DSD vendor deliveries (Dexing).
Assist GM / HBC Manager in adherence to CGO policies.
Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Satisfactory performance reviews. Basic computer skills. Strong communication skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 6-12 months of related experience.
