Northeast Grocery, Inc. is seeking a friendly, efficient Retail Associate to support Price Chopper customers with fast service and help operate the general merchandise department. You will assist with stocking and pricing, maintain neat aisles, and may operate the register as needed.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. Candidates should be at least 18, have a high school diploma, and 6–12 months of related experience, plus basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful service to customers at all times.
• Assist with stocking, pricing, signing and merchandising in GM/HBC.
• Support the GM/HBC Manager with scheduling, ordering and administrative duties; oversee operations in the manager's absence.
• Maintain a neat, clean workstation and 5S standards at all times.
• May operate the front end register and bag orders as needed.
• Ensure accurate receiving and handling of warehouse and vendor deliveries (DSD).
• Help control shrink through adherence to CGO policies and procedures.

Pay Range: $18.00- $24.00

SUMMARY

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper Customers. Responsible for assisting with the operation of the general merchandise department. Assists the GM and HBC (or Grocery) Manager with the budgeting and financial aspects of the department as needed. Responsible for stocking and pricing general merchandise products to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Ensures that GM aisles and shelves are neat, clean and leveled. May be required to operate register and bag customer orders as business necessitates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
• Assist GM / HBC (or Grocery) Manager with the day to day operation of the general merchandise department. (includes scheduling, ordering and other administrative duties) Oversees the departmental operation in manager's absence.
• Assist GM / HBC Manager in adherence to CGO policies.
• Responsible for performing merchandising functions within the GM / HBC department, to include implementation of sales plans, stocking product, pricing and signing and display merchandise and inventory controls.
• May be responsible for retrieving shopping carts, bagging customer orders and/or running front end register as business needs necessitate.
• Responsible for accurate receiving warehouse and DSD vendor deliveries (Dexing).
• Assist GM / HBC Manager in adherence to CGO policies.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related experience.
