Job summary

ShipMonk is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead fulfillment center operations in Pittston, PA. You will own daily inbound/outbound processes, inventory accuracy, and equipment maintenance while guiding a 40+ person team to align with company goals.

You will drive P&L, KPI performance, and build supervisory layers to ensure smooth shifts. Strong communication with executives and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years in fulfillment, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Experience managing a facility budget and hitting operational KPIs.
• Comfort with enterprise tools (Excel, project management software, process documentation).
• Track record of building supervisory layers, not just individual contributors.
• Strong communication to present to executives and work a warehouse floor on the same day.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus; a degree helps, but equivalent operational experience is fine.

Assistant General Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations

The role

Running a ShipMonk fulfillment center means managing thousands of daily decisions, from inbound receiving to outbound accuracy, while keeping a team of 40+ people moving in the same direction. As AGM, you're the operator who makes that happen every shift. You'll own the P&L, drive KPIs, and build the layer of supervisory leadership that means the floor doesn't stop when you step away. This is a high-accountability role with real visibility into how the business performs.

What you'll own

Daily operations. Inbound, outbound, inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, and sanitation standards. You set the expectations and hold the team to them.

P&L and KPIs. You track the numbers that matter, labor cost, throughput, error rates, and you understand what levers to pull when they're off.

People and culture. You hire supervisors, develop frontline leads, and build a team that doesn't need you to solve every problem. You run performance conversations directly and consistently.

Cross-functional coordination. You work with customer service, sales, and other facility leaders to make sure warehouse activity doesn't create problems downstream.

What you bring
