About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant General Manager (AGM), Overnight Operations, to oversee the full scope of our overnight last-mile delivery operation. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead overnight warehouse and driver operations, ensure safety, optimize performance, drive operational efficiency, and maintain our commitment to a 95%+ delivery success quality rate. This role is ideal for a leader with deep operational expertise who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth logistics environments and who can drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and develop all overnight operations teams, including drivers, dispatch, and warehouse associates.
• Own all overnight operational KPIs, including delivery success rate, safety metrics, on-time departures, and route efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement in routing efficiency, driver productivity, and warehouse throughput.
• Develop and enforce operational SOPs to ensure safety, compliance, and consistent execution.
• Manage real-time overnight operations, addressing escalations, vehicle issues, and route adjustments.
• Partner with daytime leadership, inventory, and customer support teams to ensure seamless 24-hour operations.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention of overnight associates and drivers.
• Monitor labor costs, overtime, and productivity to achieve labor efficiency targets.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance through coaching and regular feedback.
• Analyze operational data and dashboards to identify trends, solve problems, and implement improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in operations leadership, with at least 2 years managing both drivers and warehouse teams in a last-mile or logistics environment.
• Proven track record of managing safety, compliance, and operational KPIs.
• Strong understanding of last-mile delivery logistics, routing optimization, and fleet management.
• Experience managing large hourly workforces and frontline supervisors.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Proficiency in operations management systems, routing software, and productivity tools.
• Ability to work and lead overnight shifts reliably.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of leadership experience in last-mile delivery, e-commerce fulfillment, or transportation operations.
• Experience in high-volume urban delivery markets.
• Proficiency with delivery technology platforms such as Onfleet, Routific, or similar.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing labor budgets and operational P&L elements.
• OSHA, DOT, or other relevant safety certifications.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
