Job summary

Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a full-time Manager who will review P&L, assist in scheduling, and lead the team. The ideal candidate has management experience and a passion for fresh food.

The role includes mastering menu knowledge, serving guests, and ensuring the restaurant maintains high standards. Candidates must be 21 years or older and obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after employment.

Management Positions are Full Time only.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing your store’s P&L, assisting in scheduling, and following the GM’s direction to reach cost goals
• Mastering menu and product knowledge
• Serving guests and making meaningful connections with them
• Being responsible for the restaurant and the team working
• Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to staff about their duties
• Supervising, mentoring, and managing quality crew development, motivation, training, and evaluations
• Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included)
• Assisting the GM in interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees
• Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
• Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift
• Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures
• Ensuring proper food handling and storage of food products
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age
• Minimum of 1-3 years management experience
• Prior knowledge of Profit and Loss statements (preferred)
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and computer literacy
• Strong work ethic, desire to exceed guests’ expectations, and a passion for fresh food

Your Working Conditions/ Hours

• Morning shift - 7am - 4pm*
• Mid shift - 10am - 8pm*
• Evenings - 3pm - 10pm*
• Weekends - when applicable
• Holidays - when applicable (always CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)

*Hours will vary by store.

You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor.
