Job summary

The Courtyard by Marriott in Olathe, KS is seeking an Assistant General Manager for hands-on leadership of hotel operations under the KMG Hotels umbrella. The AGM provides direct support to the General Manager and will oversee the operating departments while modelling the brand voice and guest service standards.

You will guide departments, coach staff, manage financials with a focus on guest satisfaction and a safe, service-driven culture that reflects Courtyard by Marriott's expectations.

Qualifications

• Four years of guest service/hotel experience with at least two years in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent, combination of education and experience preferred, but not mandatory.
• Previous Marriott Select Service experience preferred, but not mandatory.
• F&B experience preferred, but not mandatory.
• Must speak fluent English, additional languages a plus.
• Work schedule varies and may include working evenings, holidays and weekends shifts.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

Responsibilities

• Ensure brand standards are maintained across all areas of the property.
• Oversee operation of all property departments and support team members.
• Assist GM with finance and accounting functions and banking procedures.
• Review financial statements and performance data to identify improvements.
• Perform QA audits with GM and maintain safe, positive work environment.
• Lead by example and coach team supervisors to meet performance expectations.
• Ensure hiring practices comply with I-9/EEO and foster diversity.
• Provide excellent guest service and address guest concerns professionally.
