Qualifications

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash, delivering, and performing outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36° to 90° and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature inside and outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500° or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position
• Walking: Short distances for short durations on ceramic tile or linoleum; height of work surfaces between 36" and 48"
• Sitting: Paperwork usually completed at a desk or table
• Lifting: Bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs) unloaded by hand truck; stack up to 72" high
• Carrying: Large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), pizza dough (12 lb per tray)
• Pushing: Move trays on dollies (24‑30 trays, up to 7.5 lb force); trays may also be pulled
• Climbing: Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladder for maintenance tasks

Additional Physical Demands (Stooping/Bending, Crouching/Squatting, Reaching, Hand Tasks)

Forward bending at the waist necessary at the pizza assembly station; repeated for 30‑45 seconds continuously. Workers must perform forward bending at the front counter, stocking ingredients, crouching/squatting occasionally. Reaching performed continuously up, down, and forward; sometimes above 72" to control ovens or signs. Hand tasks require eye‑hand coordination, manipulation of dough, and use of tools like pizza peel and cutter.

Driving Specific Job Duties

• Deliver product by car to customer door

Requirements: Driving

• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards
• Access to an insured vehicle used for delivery

Essential Skills: Navigation

• Read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area
• Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product

Physical Demands (Delivery)

• Carrying: Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing
• Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift
• Walking: Travel between store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer location
• Climbing: Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery of product
