Job summary

The San Lorenzo Lumber & Home Centers, part of the Builders FirstSource family, operate across the Santa Cruz area, providing homeowners and contractors with hardware, tools and supply choices.

This role assists the General Manager in achieving successful operations at a location including production, sales, customer service, inventory management, delivery, human resources, safety and administrative activities. It also supports budgeting and annual reporting for the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business (or related field) with four years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists General Manager in recruiting, hiring, promoting, training and terminating employees.
• Plans and directs location operations to meet operational and financial goals.
• Keeps management informed on status, schedules and issues affecting location success.
• Provides direction to management and staff to achieve location objectives.

The San Lorenzo Lumber & Home Centers are conveniently located throughout the Santa Cruz area, offering both homeowners and contractors complete customer service. Our sales staff can help select the proper hardware, tools and supplies needed for just about any project. Today, San Lorenzo Lumber & Home Centers is owned by Builders FirstSource, the largest supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services to the residential construction market in the U.S.

Assists the General Manager in achieving successful operations at a location including production, sales, customer service, inventory management, delivery, human resources, safety and administrative activities. Plans and directs these functions in order to meet operational and financial goals for the location.

• Assumes location responsibility in the absence of the General Managers.
• Keeps manager informed on status of initiatives, issues, schedules that impact the success of the location.
• Provides direction to the management team and employees to ensure accomplishment of location objectives and goals.
• Assists General Manager in recruiting, hiring, promoting, training and terminating employees.
• Assists in preparation of the location budget preparation, operating costs, and annual reporting of the operation.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field and four-years (4) related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
