Position Summary

Assistant General Manager assists the General Manager in the efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the venue, overseeing all managerial positions and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing employee relations, and conducting financial reporting. Availability for a variable, event‑driven schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Annual salary: $70,000 - $80,000.

Position remains open until September 25, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall management of catering operations and ensure compliance with alcohol service policies.
  • Manage catered events from set‑up to tear‑down, handling communication with staff, culinary staff, and guests.
  • Ensure the legal, efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the venue.
  • Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, revenue analysis, and P&L statements.
  • Resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and negotiate labor agreements when applicable.
  • Author, review, and amend policies, procedures, and contracts as directed.
  • Oversee scheduling and labor allocation, and analyze ticket sales relative to staffing needs.
  • Program and maintain point‑of‑sale system for accurate financial reporting and inventory tracking.
  • Provide direction and support to managers, monitor performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in menu and marketing plan development with department heads.
  • Maintain positive relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors, and the public.
  • Inspect operations regularly to uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in a business-related major; accounting minor or credits preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in the food‑related or concessions industry.
  • Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires.
  • Advanced food service sanitation training certification.
  • Strong communication skills with employees, guests, and management.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions quickly under pressure.
  • English fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Solid computer skills: Microsoft Office, POS systems, time‑keeping systems.
  • Team‑oriented, fast‑paced, event‑driven execution ability.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concessions, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access.
  • Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit as required.
  • Familiarity with inventory cost control and menu planning.
  • Knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, and alcohol service policies.
  • Basic math skills and accurate cash handling.
  • Integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
