Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Pasadena, CA to oversee daily center operations when the General Manager is unavailable. You will guide a team to deliver top-tier customer service and ensure smooth, efficient service at the point of sale and during vehicle service tasks.

The role requires leadership experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work various shifts while supporting ongoing training through U-Haul University.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
