Flik Hospitality, a division of Compass Group USA, seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead the Capital One Lounge at JFK Airport. You will drive day-to-day operations, develop a high-performing team, and ensure service, culinary quality, and guest satisfaction align with client standards.

The role requires 2–4 years in food service/hospitality management, strong leadership and financial acumen, and a passion for premium guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service, hospitality, restaurant, or related management experience.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, food safety, quality standards, presentation and guest experience.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with experience managing labor, expenses, budgets, inventory and operational performance.

FLIK, a division of Compass‑USA, is seeking a passionate, people-focused Assistant General Manager to help lead the Capital One Lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a premium airport hospitality environment where exceptional service, culinary excellence, and memorable guest experiences come together every day.

The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in leading day‑to‑day lounge operations, developing a high‑performing team, and ensuring operational, company, and client standards are consistently achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in leading daily Capital One Lounge operations, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and adherence to approved budgets.
• Support premium food, beverage, and hospitality experiences while maintaining high standards for quality, presentation, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
• Provide hands‑on leadership across food and beverage, guest services, staffing, inventory management, and operational compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership, cross‑functional teams, and airport stakeholders to support seamless lounge operations.
• Monitor labor productivity, operational performance, and service standards while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with guests, team members, clients, and business partners while serving as a role model for premium hospitality.
• Ensure compliance with company, airport, food safety, sanitation, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Support special projects, lounge initiatives, and additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

• Flexible schedule and open availability required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and closing shifts.
• 2 to 4 years of food service, hospitality, restaurant, or related management experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
• Experience in upscale hospitality environments such as airport lounges, restaurants, hotels, private clubs, bars, corporate dining, or other premium guest‑service operations.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, food safety, quality standards, presentation, and guest experience.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with experience managing labor, expenses, budgets, inventory, and operational performance.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Associate degree in Hospitality, Business, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for Capital One Lounge guests.
