Panera Bread in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking an Assistant General Manager Lead who will inspire a bakery-cafe team and partner with the General Manager to run operations, hire, train, and develop staff while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach and develop others in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Background check required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk up to 6 hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members while energizing and celebrating the team.
• Manage team performance to meet goals and guest service standards.
• Partner with the General Manager to develop managers on Panera's values and behaviors.
• Work as a team to ensure guest delight with food and service.
• Build relationships to foster long-term guest loyalty.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace.
• Assist in managing costs and inventory.
• Help grow Panera's culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
