Job summary

Jiffy Lube is seeking an energetic Assistant General Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and develop a high-performing team in Phoenix, AZ. This hands-on leadership role focuses on coaching staff, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and upholding safety and service standards.

You will manage opening/closing, cash handling, inventory, and scheduling while embodying J Team Service Standards and stepping in for the GM as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail management experience or more.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent guest experiences.
• Comfort with using POS systems and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store and maintain a clean, safe, operationally excellent environment.
• Oversee cash handling and POS procedures.
• Help manage inventory ordering, receiving, and tracking.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and schedule team members.
• Lead by example using J Team Service Standards while performing lube services.
• Create a positive guest experience and resolve concerns professionally.

What You'll Do (Your Impact Matters!)

As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of store operations -- supporting your General Manager, boosting performance, and ensuring every guest leaves happy.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Opening/closing the store & maintaining a clean, safe, operationally excellent environment
• Overseeing cash handling and POS procedures
• Helping manage inventory ordering, receiving, and tracking
• Recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and scheduling team members
• Leading by example using J Team Service Standards while performing lube services
• Creating a positive guest experience & resolving concerns with professionalism
• Ensuring Environmental, Health & Safety compliance
• Taking full ownership of operations when the GM is away

Requirements (What You Bring)

• Valid driver's license
• At least 1 year of retail management experience (Automotive, Fast Food, Retail, etc.)
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages)
• Ability to confidently use computers, internet tools, and complete required forms
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift 50+ lbs., bend, reach, climb, etc.
• Comfortable working in enclosed or semi-outdoor environments
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
