SavATree is seeking an Assistant General Manager / Market Leader in Burlington, VT for a full-time role with a salary of $90,000–$100,000 and annual bonus; relocation assistance is available.

In this position you will partner with the Market Leader to drive safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction while supporting daily operations, sales efforts, and administrative tasks across field and office teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Arboriculture, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in tree care or landscaping.
• Prior leadership experience or demonstrated ability to coach and coordinate teams.
• Willingness to pursue ISA Certification (if not already obtained).

Responsibilities

• Support Market Leader in developing and tracking sales targets and coaching team members.
• Assist in operational planning and resource coordination to keep jobs on schedule and vehicles/equipment operating safely.
• Ensure accurate paperwork, reporting, and process adherence across the branch.

Position Overview:

The Assistant GM plays a key supporting role in the productivity, efficiency, and growth of the market. This position partners closely with the Market Leader to drive Safety, Quality, Productivity, Employee Engagement, and Customer Satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting in daily operations, supporting sales efforts, coordinating administrative tasks, and helping lead field and office teams toward shared business goals. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities to work outdoors, visit client properties, and contribute directly to the success of the team.

What a day is like:

Your responsibilities will span Sales, Operations, and Administration. You'll support the Market Leader in developing and tracking sales targets, coaching team members, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll assist in operational planning and resource coordination to keep jobs on schedule, teams on task, and vehicles and equipment operating safely. You'll also help ensure accurate paperwork, reporting, and process adherence across the branch.
