Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily car wash operations and guest service excellence. The AGM will lead the team in the GM's absence, promote a high-performance culture, and oversee scheduling, promotions, and engagement initiatives.

The role requires 1–2 years of retail management experience, strong communication, and integrity. A focus on safety, equipment maintenance, and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent. Associates or bachelor’s degree is nice, but not necessary.
• Minimum 1-2 years retail management experience; proven leadership ability.

Description

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) reports directly to the General Manager (GM) and assists with the day-to-day operations of the car wash. The AGM is responsible for leading the team in the absence of the GM. The AGM will be responsible for store conditions, quality car wash execution, and providing the highest level of guest service. Other responsibilities of the AGM may include promotions, special events, customer engagement, equipment maintenance, and other assigned company goals.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate and maintain the highest levels of customer service.
• Works alongside with the GM to help build strong teams, drive a culture of high performance and engagement that reflects an exceptional customer experience.
• May assist in the recruitment of full time and part time staff. May also assist in the management of weekly scheduling, reporting, team meetings, and other administrative tasks as deemed necessary.
• Facilitate equipment maintenance and site audits to ensure a quality product and customer experience.
• Create an environment where staff can grow and develop through a robust and engaging onboarding experience, continuous performance feedback, and ongoing developmental opportunities.
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments to equipment.
• Perform ‘Manager on Duty’ responsibilities.

Education, Experience and Requirements:

Full-time

Salary: From $42,000.00 per year plus quarterly and member growth performance incentives

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Technical & Mechanical Capacity. Basic understanding and use in Excel and other office applications.
• Ability to use a computer, tablet, smart phone, software, and the internet.
• Ability to identify business trends and collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop strategic plans and drive results.
• Proven ability to lead change while maintaining operational effectiveness.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong experience with retail finance, including P&L management.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit stand, reach, bend and move about the facility as needed.
