Parkrose Chateau, a senior housing company for active seniors, is now hiring for an Assistant General Manager in Portland, OR.

The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday.

• Tuesday: 11:00 am - 7:30 pm
• Wednesday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Thursday: 11:30 am - 7:30 pm
• Friday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Saturday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Overall Job Purpose:

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a strong leader and master multitasker, serving as the right hand to the community’s General Manager. The AGM is responsible for managing multiple community departments, maintaining smooth business operations, and providing quality onboarding and training to associates.

Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous management experience, including operational and financial experience in managing employees, recruiting, customer service, budgeting, purchasing, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Ability to work as part of a team with the General Manager and Executive Chef to provide a great living environment for our residents and a safe and motivating work atmosphere for our staff.
• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Community.
  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff.
• Ability to keep all business, operational, and resident information confidential.

The successful candidate must have a passion for working with seniors. Also, a proven customer service background and strong management/supervisory experience is necessary to manage the day-to‑day operations of our retirement community.
