Job summary

Luna Grill invites experienced restaurant leaders to join as an Assistant General Manager in Plano, TX. You will support the GM, coach teams, and drive operational excellence from shift to shift.

This hands‑on role blends kitchen and floor leadership to maintain Luna Grill standards and guest satisfaction. You will manage scheduling, labor, and safety, participate in payroll and inventory, and mentor staff toward future General Manager opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience in high‑volume or fast‑casual settings.
• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate Degree is preferred.
• Valid Food Manager Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Open, peak, and closing procedures across daily operations.
• Oversee BOH cross‑training and scheduling to optimize labor and service.
• Coach and develop team members with feedback and performance guidance.
• Ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and Luna Grill standards.
• Participate in hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations; communicate expectations clearly.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily operations including opening, peak service, and closing procedures
• Work in BOH weekly and as needed; fully cross‑trained in all BOH positions
• Manage schedules, breaks, and team coverage to optimize service and labor
• Ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and presentation meet Luna Grill standards
• Coach, train, and develop team members through feedback and performance guidance
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and operational reporting
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company policies
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally with a hospitality‑first mindset
• Assist the GM with labor and food cost control
• Participate in hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations
• Communicate company updates and operational expectations clearly to the team
• Serve as Manager on Duty when the GM is absent

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of restaurant management experience (high‑volume or fast‑casual) required
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
• ValidFood Manager Certification required
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people‑development skills
• Excellent guest service and problem‑solving abilities
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and calm under pressure
• Solid understanding of FOH & BOH operations
• Tech‑savvy with POS systems, KDS, Dayforce, and Microsoft Office
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
