Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Lowell, MA seeks an Assistant General Manager to drive profitability and customer service. You will analyze P&L, lead DIY and DIFM service offerings, and coach a 10–20 person team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, floor and phone management, safety, and adherence to operational procedures. ASE certification is preferred; English proficiency required; weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• ASE certification preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and front-end operations

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze P&L statements
• Lead DIY and DIFM sales for DIY services (battery tests, wiper installs, etc.)
• Achieve personal/store sales and service goals
• Manage DIY services and store operations
• Schedule weekly and coach team on duties
• Ensure prompt handling of customer complaints
• Maintain safety and product standards in the store
• Train staff on inventory, POS, and parts lookup processes
