L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge is hiring an Assistant General Manager in Lincolnwood, IL, just outside Chicago. The role requires 2+ years of AGM experience and 5+ years of restaurant management.

You will lead and develop teams, oversee daily operations, and manage inventory and BOH systems to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants offers a competitive salary and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Assistant General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant.
• 5+ years of restaurant management experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day business operations run smoothly.
• Assist with training, recruiting, HR and administrative duties; assist in financials / statement preparation; and assist the GM with customer service inquiries.
• Organize, run and supervise smooth and efficient daily opening and closing shifts, ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience.
• Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams while fostering our Culture of Caring.
• Respond promptly to guest and employee needs and feedback.
• Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and achieving financial goals.
• Interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop BOH employees and teams as needed.
• Perform regular inventories of food, beverage and restaurant supplies; place orders; inspect deliveries.
• Lead teamwork across all teams and handle challenges with tact and courtesy.
• Work varied shifts at multiple sites, with or without overnight travel.

• Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
• Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed
• Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
• 5+ years of restaurant management experience
• 2+ years of AGM experience in a full-service restaurant
• Skilled in leading and developing teams
• Experienced with inventory and BOH systems
