Job summary

Magna Cosma International in Ohio seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead plant operations across General Assembly, Supply Chain, and Commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives in a fast-paced facility.

You will drive Lean manufacturing, KPI management, and continuous improvement, develop leadership teams, manage programs and ramp-ups, and partner with customers to achieve milestones while embedding Magna’s values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing or operations experience, automotive preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers and/or multiple operational functions.
  • Proven experience leading high-volume manufacturing operations, program launches, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, supply chain, quality management, operational KPIs, and business planning.

  • Drive operational excellence via KPI management, Lean, shopfloor management, and structured problem solving.
  • Develop organizational capability and support growth by strengthening leadership teams, improving structures, and readiness for new programs.
  • Lead customer and program execution activities, resolving escalations and supporting ramp-ups and milestones.
  • Drive financial and operational results through planning, budgeting, and performance recovery initiatives.
  • Build a high-performance culture by coaching leaders, promoting accountability and cross-functional collaboration.
