Johnson & Johnson is seeking a senior legal leader to serve as Assistant General Counsel for Value Chain Management and Supply Operations within Innovative Medicine Supply Chain. You will partner with senior leaders to enable reliable, agile, and resilient supply of transformational medicines.

The role provides enterprise-level leadership across network strategy, licensing, regulatory, and global procurement, delivering strategic legal solutions while shaping risk management and governance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive legal experience supporting complex commercial, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical and/or global supply chain organizations.
  • Ability to advise, challenge and influence senior executives with sound judgment and business orientation.
  • Experience leading sophisticated transactions, negotiations, strategic alliances and complex operational agreements.
  • Strong strategic, operational and financial acumen, with the ability to connect legal advice to business value, growth, reliability and patient impact.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and global initiatives in a matrixed, highly regulated and fast-moving environment.
  • Experience leading, coaching and inspiring teams, building capability and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • License to practice law in at least one jurisdiction, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Innovative Medicine Supply chain focusing on Value Chain Management, including its Network Strategy and transformational supply chain initiatives, providing strategic legal leadership for supply chain business development, licensing, strategic alliances and complex commercial transactions that enable portfolio growth and strengthen patient supply.
  • Support manufacturing, procurement and supply operations, providing practical, business-oriented counsel on the most important strategic and operational priorities.
  • Advise on global logistics, distribution, deliver operations, inventory management, supply resilience and continuity matters in a dynamic and highly regulated global environment.
  • Lead the negotiation of significant strategic, commercial and operational agreements, bringing clarity, creativity and sound judgment to complex business arrangements.
  • Proactively identify, assess and manage legal, regulatory, commercial, geopolitical and reputational risks while enabling the business to move with speed and confidence.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging supply chain regulation, ESG, trade controls, sanctions, governance, digital transformation and other trends affecting global healthcare supply chains.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional legal support across Intellectual Property, Regulatory, Health Care Compliance, Privacy, Employment, Tax and other specialist areas to deliver integrated, high-impact legal solutions.

Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to serve as a senior legal leader at the heart of one of the world’s most respected and high-performing healthcare supply chains. The Assistant General Counsel will act as a strategic business partner for Value Chain Management (VCM) and Supply Operations within Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, helping enable the reliable, agile and resilient supply of transformational medicines to patients around the world.

The role provides enterprise-level legal leadership across network strategy, supply chain business development, licensing, regional demand and supply, deliver operations, supply continuity, business transformation and strategic supply chain initiatives. Working directly with senior Supply Chain leaders, this leader will help accelerate sound decision-making, unlock growth, anticipate and mitigate risk, and shape the legal strategy behind a global supply chain that is central to Johnson & Johnson’s mission of transforming patients’ lives.

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Innovative Medicine Supply chain focusing on Value Chain Management, including its Network Strategy and transformational supply chain initiatives, providing strategic legal leadership for supply chain business development, licensing, strategic alliances and complex commercial transactions that enable portfolio growth and strengthen patient supply.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$178,000.00 - $307,050.00

Additional Description For Pay Transparency

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Benefits

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
  • Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
  • Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
