Job summary

LG Electronics USA Inc. in Alpharetta, Georgia seeks an Assistant General Counsel for the Air Solutions division to provide general legal support and counsel on risk within a multinational framework.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, advise on external communications, manage litigation matters, and support LG's B2B teams in the U.S. with independent accountability.

Qualifications

• JD degree, plus at least 7-9 years' relevant experience.
• Strong execution and project management skills and ability to corral stakeholders from across a global organization on cross-functional projects.
• Significant Contract Negotiation experience.
• Experience with commercial construction litigation is a plus.
• In-house legal experience preferred.
• Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines.
• Ability to work independently and with accountability within a multinational corporate group.
• Position located in Alpharetta, GA, with travel (20%) required. Georgia Bar license or ability to become licensed required.

Responsibilities

• Support defense of pre-litigation claims and lawsuits and government administrative agency actions or investigations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, counseling the Air Solutions division on legal obligations and guiding business decisions within prudent risk levels.
• Manage outside law firm partners. Budget and track spending and associated forecasting and reporting requirements for litigation matters.
• Generally support LG Electronics' B2B business teams in the U.S. as needed.

Summary

Recruiting Range: $147,000 USD - $205,000 USD
