Job summary

ProPivotal, Boston-based, is seeking an Assistant Fund Controller to backstop fund-level reporting, consolidations, and investor deliverables, partnering with the Fund Controller and supervising an Accounting Manager.

This high-visibility role spans acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, treasury, and external audit teams, with a hybrid in-office schedule. The position offers a target base salary of $140,000 to $155,000 plus a 20% bonus.

Qualifications

• Real estate fund level accounting experience required.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting or fund reporting experience.
• Strong consolidations, joint venture, and ownership structure knowledge.
• Audit leadership experience and strong GAAP reporting fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly and annual reporting for assigned funds and related entities.
• Prepare and review consolidations, eliminations, and fund level financial statements.
• Review property level financials and quarterly reporting packages.
• Lead audit execution including PBC support and auditor coordination.
• Support capital activity including capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.
• Calculate and explain performance metrics including IRR, time weighted returns, and equity multiples.
• Partner on closings and financings, including transaction accounting and wire support.

You will partner closely with the Fund Controller and oversee an Accounting Manager, with strong cross functional exposure to acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, treasury, and external audit teams.
