Job summary

Daley And Associates, LLC is representing a leading global alternative asset management firm in Boston seeking an Assistant Fund Controller. The role is hybrid in Boston with a base salary of $150k-$175k plus a 20% bonus and excellent benefits.

The successful candidate will oversee fund accounting, regulatory reporting, and audits, coordinating with Tax, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure data integrity and strong controls.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of fund accounting or fund finance experience within an asset manager, public accounting firm, or fund administrator.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP for investment companies.
• Experience with partnership accounting and private, closed-end fund structures.
• Experience overseeing and working with third-party fund administrators.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to oversee multiple internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide oversight and guidance to Fund Finance team members.
• Partner cross-functionally with Tax, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Valuation, and other internal teams.

Our client, a leading global alternative asset management firm in Boston, is seeking an Assistant Fund Controller to join their team. Working within a lean, high-performing team, this individual will partner closely with Portfolio Analytics, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Valuation, Business Development, and Fund Formation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee fund accounting, close processes, and financial and regulatory reporting
• Manage and review work performed by third-party fund administrators and outsourced resources
• Oversee the accuracy and integrity of accounting data across administrator records and internal accounting and reporting systems
• Maintain and oversee the firm’s shadow accounting environment
