Board Member at Pennsylvania Fitness Alliance

·Starting hourly rate $18- $22 and hour

·Regular schedule includes approximately 35 hours a week (Not to exceed 40 hours a week). Hours will include days, evenings, and an occasional Saturday.

·Additional hours - may be required for events like parades, health fairs, open houses, community fundraisers, and coverage for other employees due to vacation or illness.

·Bonus / profit sharing - a discretionary semi-annual bonus/profit sharing (paid in July and December) evaluated by ownership. To qualify, employees must be employed during the bonus period.

·Performance reviews – a 90-day probationary period with reviews at 30 and 90 days, and an annual review at year's end.

·Other Benefits:

Vacation- After 90 days, 5 days paid vacation per year, accruing at 7 hours per day. Unused days are forfeited unless employment ends; unused days are prorated. Additional 5 days after 2 years of full-time employment.

Continued Education: Assistance with training and certifications, reimbursed up to 50% upon approval and proof of completion. Reimbursement must be repaid if leaving within a year of training.

Simple IRA – Eligible after 90 days for employer-sponsored retirement plan.

Responsibilities and expectations

  • Explain products/services to members, including memberships, personal training, nutrition, apps, smoothies, apparel, and supplements.
  • Ensure timely submission of insurance reimbursement info by the 5th of each month.
  • Follow up with inactive members and communicate suggestions, complaints, and concerns to ownership.
  • Perform new member follow-up and data entry tasks accurately.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and overseeing staff and maintaining facility standards.
  • Work on expense control, event organization, sales, and revenue growth with ownership.
  • Maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Pennsylvania is an at-will employment state. Employment may be terminated at any time by employer or employee. Employees may not work for competitors after separation.
