Responsibilities and Qualifications

1. Demonstrates knowledge of assigned sports fundamentals.
2. Possesses organizational and motivational skills.
3. Models behavior as outlined in Coaches Handbook.
4. Has successful coaching experience and training over a period of years.
5. Supports the total athletic program.
6. Holds a current First Aid and C.P.R. card.
7. Attends required training classes.
8. Has enthusiasm for athletics and is available for all related activities.
9. Must be at least 19 years old; head coaches must be 21.
10. Preferred: classroom teacher experience, not mandatory.

Additional Requirements

• Receive Hepatitis B and HIV vaccinations if necessary.
• Complete district’s sexual harassment training.
• Undergo fingerprinting for background check.
• Must comply with WIAA regulations regarding age.
