Job Summary

The assistant coach will assist student athletes in achieving a high level of skill, develop discipline and sportsmanship, and increase self-esteem. Responsibilities include assisting during pre-season and post-season training, coaching individual skills, overseeing safety, enforcing discipline, and establishing consequences for misconduct.

Qualifications

• Licensed staff member; HSD2 ESP; or CHSAA Certified Coach.
• Ability to meet CHSAA guidelines and district coaching requirements.
• Knowledge of sport skills and fundamentals for varied abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Prior coaching experience required; head coaching preferred.
• Commitment to building positive relationships.
• Availability for pre-season, post-season, and summer work.
• First Aide/CPR certification or ability to pass certification.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting.
