Job summary

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Athletics is seeking an Assistant Football Coach in Alexandria, Virginia. This part-time role carries out the sport program aims and supports the Head Coach with instruction, safety, and record-keeping.

The position requires coaching background and knowledge of the sport, with ACPS staff preferred. Compensation is a stipend range and involves on-site duties at school facilities.

Qualifications

• ACPS staff preferred.
• Knowledge and background in assigned sport.
• Previous coaching experience in assigned sport is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Instructs athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategies, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
• Informs students of the insurance program available through the Alexandria City Public Schools.
• Provides an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship.
