Taher, Inc. is seeking an energetic Assistant Food Service Director to lead a K-12 school lunch program. You will train staff, guide operations, and uphold high customer service while maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Associate degree in hospitality/dietetics preferred.
• ServSafe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Update social media as required.
• Archive menus and events with photos and commentary.
• Execute catering events.
• Assist Food Service Director in delivering budgeted results.

Your community-minded, detail-oriented focus on communication through marketing and social media, makes retaining and growing client relationships easy. Essential Functions:

• Updating social media as required
• Archiving special menu and events with pictures and commentary
• Executing outstanding catering events
• Assist Food Service Director in delivering budgeted financial results
• Creating a positive team environment
• Maintaining HACCP standards
• Managing ordering and inventory
• Leading daily production
• Overseeing cash management
• Engaging in regular client interaction
• Implement monthly menu (as required)
• Monitor daily production records
• Assist with weekly stock orders

Qualifications:

• 1 year of previous experience in a similar role with an associate degree in hospitality/dietetics preferred
• Ability to multi-task and ajust priorities as required
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
• Must have Serv/Safe certification
• Previous experience managing food and labor costs
• Experience managing a staff
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office and other platforms
• Catering experience, a plus
• Successfully pass a criminal background check
