Job summary

Complete Care at Shorrock Gardens is seeking an Assistant Food Services Director to lead the dietary team in a long-term care setting. This full-time role includes weekend on-call responsibilities and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will oversee meal planning, purchasing, production, and service while ensuring safety, sanitation, and compliance with Public Health regulations. Candidates should have a high school diploma, SERV Safe certification, and experience managing a food services

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• SERV Safe Certification required.
• Experience managing a food services department and staff in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Strong computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the Dietary Department daily to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Submit written reports to the administration as necessary.
• Plan nutritionally balanced and therapeutic meals reflecting residents' likes and dislikes and Public Health regulations.
• Responsible for food purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
• Direct and supervise all dietary functions and personnel.
• Hire, orient, train, counsel, discipline, and terminate dietary staff as appropriate.
