The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager assists the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing assigned outlets to ensure exceptional guest service, optimal performance, and profitability. They train, motivate staff, and support the resort's guiding principles, striving to deliver outstanding service to internal and external guests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
- Lead and supervise the outlets team
- Assist in preparing forecasts, reports, and developing budgets
- Ensure cleanliness and atmosphere of the department
- Develop and execute promotions and events
- Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards
- Track payroll and revenue daily
- Secure financial transactions
- Establish par levels for supplies and equipment
- Supervise staff performance, conduct appraisals
- Maintain systems and equipment performance
- Manage expenses and improve revenues
- Train and inspire outlets staff for promotion
- Design and implement training programs
- Empower team to exceed service standards
- Handle stressful situations calmly and organized
- Work with HR on recruitment and staffing
- Monitor payroll accuracy and complete paperwork
- Order supplies and maintain stock levels
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive work environment
- Promote high staff morale and discipline when necessary
- Conduct staff meetings and attend meetings
- Resolve guest issues effectively
- Stay informed on hospitality trends
- Use labor management tools for scheduling and cost control
- Provide warm guest greetings and interactions
- Collaborate professionally with resort staff
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate effectively
- Handle equipment sanitation and maintenance

Experience, Education & Licensure
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred: 2 or 4-year degree
- Minimum 3 years food and beverage experience
- Preferred: 4 or 5-star experience
- At least 2 years supervisory experience
- Valid Food Handler and RBS Certification required
Compensation
Starting at $68,640 to $72,000 annually plus bonus potential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible plans, paid time off, and 401(k) with company match.
