Duties

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nordic-speaking Assistant Financial Accountant to join the European Finance Centre (EFC). Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for the Nordic entities and collaborates with the wider GL team. The role involves activities such as ensuring timely and accurate period-end closing, maintaining the integrity of the balance sheet, processing journal entries, and performing other ad hoc duties.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month-end close processes
• Journal processing
• SOX and internal controls
• Working in one of our technical streams (GRNI/Fixed Assets/VAT/Leases)
• Other ad-hoc duties

We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will be fluent in a Nordic language and either have started or be planning to start their professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA). The role offers study support. You should be well-organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to work independently, and willing to collaborate with the GL team when needed. Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude are essential. Experience with SAP is preferred.
