$87,000.00/yr - $91,000.00/yr

The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for financial closing and reporting, monitoring cash flow, supervising staff, and executing financial tasks within the finance department.

Typical Functions:

· Monitors the day-to-day financial operations (Invoice payment, Cash collections, and other transactions)

· Reviews and processes payments of the company

· Reviews inventory reports by item category

· Monitors and analyzes accounting data and produces monthly/quarterly financial reports and statements

· Prepares and analyzes the monthly and the quarterly management reporting

· Maintains cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports

· Coordinates and works with other departments, outsourced accounting firm, and CPA auditor for data/documents required to complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.

· Prepares documents for CPA audit, SOX, J-SOX preferred, and tax returns.

· Communicates financial institutes to maintain banking procedures and lease contracts

· Liaises with CPA to file income tax, sales tax, and other local tax returns

· Ensures compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements

· Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business

· Supports Finance Director and CFO for annual budgeting

· Liaises with the headquarter overseas

Education and/or Experience

Mandatory: 5+ years experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the retail or hospitality industries, College degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field, Tax returns (Federal and/or State), Supervisory or managerial roles

Optional; CPA, Reporting package to parent company

Practical Skills

Working knowledge of GAAP principles

Ability to manage multiple projects

High level of integrity, thoroughness, flexibility, and initiative

Understanding of overall corporate accounting & FP&A

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP system

Reasoning Ability
