City of Otsego is seeking an Assistant Finance Director to lead the daily operations of the Finance Department, serving as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer for the city in Minnesota.

The role emphasizes bank reconciliations, cash and investments, budget development and monitoring, financial reporting, risk management, and other duties assigned by the Finance Director.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Three (3) years of government accounting/finance experience.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily operations of the Finance Department as Assistant CFO.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash and investment management.
• Develop and monitor the city budget; produce financial reports.
• Manage risk and carry out duties as assigned by the Finance Director.

Description Of Work

Manages the daily operations of the Finance Department including serving as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer of the City. Responsible for performing essential accounting functions, including, but not limited to: bank reconciliations, cash and investment management, budget development and monitoring, financial reporting, risk management and additional duties as assigned by the Finance Director.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Three (3) years of experience in a governmental accounting or finance related position

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant licensure
• Certified Public Finance Officer licensure
• Previous experience in a supervisory position
• Previous experience with Caselle (Civic Systems)
• Previous experience with governmental economic development or city/county management
