Job Overview

The Assistant Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at the field office and clinics, ensuring effective management through leadership competencies.

  • Manage operational issues including administrative, facilities, and inventory.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, disciplining, and evaluating staff.
  • Manage office and clinics as directed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with host location staff and animal outreach groups.
  • Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager to ensure service consistency and adherence to operational policies and procedures.
  • Identify and collaborate on business opportunities with partner locations.
  • Promote brand values and communicate marketing programs to staff.
  • Travel as needed for community clinics and business initiatives, including weekends and occasional overnight stays.
  • Support and participate in clinics and field activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources principles, accounting, and operations management.
  • Ability to work with pets of all sizes and temperaments, including lifting and handling animals.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles in various conditions.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including weekends, holidays, and outdoor activities.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Education and Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and HR systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential functions safely and meet productivity standards.
  • Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds assisted and 50 pounds unassisted.
