Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in business, HR, gerontology or related field.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in senior living/skilled nursing.
• Proven leadership capabilities in a care setting.
• Extensive knowledge of Assisted Living and Dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, organizing, and overall management of Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods per regulations and Phoenix standards.
• Assist with PSP development, daily assignment development, and ongoing monitoring of processes.
• Maintain Resident Service Information in paper or electronic databases per Phoenix policy.
• Participate in and manage the assessment process to determine service tier with appropriate staffing levels.
• Coordinate with Program & Outreach Director to provide personalized activities across all wellness dimensions.
• Recognize resident changes in condition and take appropriate action.

The Bungalows at Chesterfield Village is seeking an Assistant Family Experience Director to join their team!

The Assistant Family Experience Director reports directly to the Wellness Director.

Shift Details

Mon-Fri ; Every other weekend required

Purpose

The Assistant Family Experience Director is responsible for providing leadership and management support of the Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Programming. The AFED is a working leader in the day-to-day operations, directly supervising and assisting the Assisted Living and Memory Care team. This position promotes and integrates the philosophy of Phoenix Senior Living to incorporate wellness in all aspects of senior lives through emotional, purpose, physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Supports with the planning, organizing, and overall management of the Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods in accordance with federal, state, local laws and Phoenix Senior Living standards, guidelines and regulations
• Assists with facilitating the Personalized Service Plans (PSP), daily assignment development and monitoring ongoing process and practices
• Maintains updated Resident Service Information via book and/or electronic database according to Phoenix policy
• Participates in and manages the assessment process to determine tier of service with appropriate staffing levels
• Works with the Program & Outreach Director to ensure personalized activities that incorporate all dimensions of wellness are available throughout the day and evening with resident care associate participation
• Recognizes resident changes in condition and takes appropriate action

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Gerontology, or related field (preferred)
• 1–3 years of department supervisory experience in senior living/skilled nursing, demonstrating supervisory skills and shift/day operations responsibility
• Proven leadership capabilities
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care

Physical Requirements

In an 8‑hour workday, the associate may stand/walk during 0–2 hours at one time, totaling 4–6 hours per day.

In an 8‑hour workday, the associate may sit during 0–1 hour at one time, totaling 2–4 hours per day.

In an 8‑hour workday, the associate may drive 30–60 minutes, 1–2 times a week.

Associate will support/assist with maximum 100 lbs frequency and occasionally 200 lbs. Will lift/carry with maximum 40 lbs frequency, occasionally 70 lbs, height of lift 3–4 feet, distance of carry 30 yards.

Associate will use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation. Should be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb frequently, and reach occasionally (3 feet).
