Life Time Inc. is hiring a Facility Operations Assistant Manager in Centreville, MD. This full-time role supports the Facility Operations Manager, ensuring clean, safe facilities and exceptional member service. You will help manage staff, budgets, and schedule coordination while working opposite the Manager’s schedule to meet business needs.

Responsibilities include training, safety compliance, and active engagement with members to gather feedback and drive improvements across club operations.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have strong customer service experience.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to train staff and provide coaching.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining locker rooms, fitness floors, common areas, and amenities.
• Respond to member feedback with urgency and provide follow-up solutions.
• Assist in budgeting and annual budgeting recommendations.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to staff.
• Serve on Safety Committee ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Assist with recruiting and interviewing for Operations.
• Attend weekly department head, Operations department, and all club meetings.
• Build positive relationships with members and gather feedback.
• Coordinate and create Operations staff schedules.

Job description

Position Summary

The Facility Operations Assistant Manager is a full-time position that assists the Facility Operations Manager in delivering clean and functioning facilities while providing excellent customer service. This may include maintaining club space, training fellow team members, and being the source of managerial support when the Manager is not present. The Facility Operations Assistant Manager works the opposite schedule of the Facility Operations Manager and must be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists staff in maintaining locker rooms, fitness floors, common areas, and amenities

• Responds to member feedback with urgency and provides follow up communication with solutions

• Assists the manager with monthly and annual budget recommendations

• Assists in training team members through providing on going training, coaching, counseling, and continuous feedback

• Serves on the club Safety Committee ensuring policies and regulations are in compliance with OSHA regulations

• Assists with the recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department

• Attends weekly department head, Operations department, and “all club” meetings

• Builds positive relationship with members while gathering feedback

• Coordinates and creates Operations staff schedules

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire

• 1 year of customer service experience

• Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO)

• Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business

Preferred Requirements

• Health and fitness operations experience

• College degree in business, hospitality, or related field

• Experience with building operations

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $26.00 and pays up to $37.50, based on experience and qualifications.
