Job description

Position: Assistant Extrusion Line Operator
Location: Hanover, PA
Pay: $21.69/hour + Differential shift pay $0.45
Shift: 7:00pm-7:00am Rotating schedule of 12 hour shifts 3 days on, two days off, two days on, three days off. Work approximately 15 days a month and have a three day weekend every other weekend!

Reporting to the Production Manager as the Assistant Operator, you will assist the Press Operator on a flexographic printing press to produce printed rolls of film, adhering to company and customer specifications and quality standards, efficiently and maintaining a clean work area.

What you'll be doing:

  • Operate Spin Welding machines, making adjustments to ensure proper operation and quality compliance.
  • Inspect welded cartridges for weld integrity, proper trimming, and dust removal.
  • Perform repairs and replace parts on Spin welders, ACO's, Scrapers, Conveyors, and Elevators.
  • Follow all safety precautions during machine operation.
  • Learn the functions of the Press Operator; may fill in during absences and perform duties as directed by Shift Leader or Production Manager.

  • You have 2 to 3 years' experience operating manufacturing machinery.
  • You are proficient with basic machine shop tools.
  • You can work well with others in a sometimes-stressful environment.
  • You are able to work overtime as needed.
  • You can lift up to 50 lbs.
  • You are able to work 12-hour days.
  • You possess basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • You have manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
  • You can relate well to others and maintain effective working relationships.
