Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Assistant Engineer for a project located in Halethorpe, MD. The role focuses on managing information to build the project on time, within budget, and per contract documents. You will supervise Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns and coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and reviews.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related experience. Proficiency in BIM/LEAN, and strong communication skills are required.

• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison with architects, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
• Oversee and interpret contract drawings and subcontract information.
• Manage the project budget and submittals.
• Oversee close-out records and as-builts.
• Lead and supervise Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns.
• Prepare scope of work documents for trades.
• Develop reports on General Conditions, labor, safety, and QA.
• Schedule and coordinate trade meetings and submittal reviews.
