Faith Technologies, Inc. in Fort Stockton, TX seeks an Assistant Project Manager to oversee electrical construction projects under a Project/Group Manager. You will guide staff, ensure profitability, and coordinate with customers, foremen, and contractors to meet schedule and quality goals.

The ideal candidate has a 1–2 year background in electrical construction or PM, proficiency with MS Office, and familiarity with Accubid/AutoCAD is a plus. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in electrical construction or project management.
• Proficiency with PC and MS Office; knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is desirable.
• Travel approximately 15–20%.

Responsibilities

• Contact vendors to obtain materials for construction projects.
• Participate in performance evaluation process and conduct employee reviews; coordinate merit wage increases.
• Plan, organize, and staff electrical and/or specialty systems projects for profitability and timeliness.
• Attend weekly and monthly meetings (Staffing, PM, Sales, etc.).
• Review outgoing estimates with Estimating Department for accuracy.
• Visit job sites and interact with crew, customers, foreman, and general contractors to ensure progress and safety.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred, and general knowledge of electrical components and applications is preferred.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Electrical EngineeringExperience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical construction, project management, or a related field. Experience with electrical construction projects and understanding of electrical components and applications is preferred. Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable.Travel: 15-20%Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESContacts vendors to obtain materials for construction projects.Participates in bi-annual performance evaluation process; conducts employee performance reviews in an effective and timely manner; and consults with Group or Project Manager to establish field merit wage increases. Maintains employee relations.Plans, organizes, and staffs electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects. Ensures that projects are completed profitably, in a timely manner, and according to customer expectations.Attends weekly and monthly meetings (i.e., Staffing Meeting, PM Meeting, Sales Meeting, etc.).Processes miscellaneous paperwork.Reviews outgoing estimates with Estimating Department to ensure accuracy.Visits various job sites and interacts with crew, customers, foreman, and general contractors to ensure proper job progress and to support and encourage safe behavior.The job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
